  • New Video from Tragedy

Tragedy, who play Legends on Monday, have released a video for their new single ‘It’s Raining Men’

Yes…. yes… I *know* they’re a metal tribute to the Bee Gees… but they’re now “Bee Gees and beyond” and this is their transformation of the Weather Girls classic(?) into a Metal Bee Gees style!

Anyway… advance tickets are only £8 (tenner on the door) and if you want them in advance pick em up from www.seetickets.com or from Reflex Records in town.

Sunderland folk can also buy from Hot Rats.

    Here is their video… enjoy

  • Arcite aftershow at Toxic

    images (2)

Some great news for fans of heavy music.

Local band Arcite are having their album launch party for THE ESCAPE KEY at Trillians on Friday 19th July.  It’s free entry and the band will be playing their new album IN FULL.

    But… there’s more exciting news…

The official aftershow will be at Toxic in Legends afterwards – the band will be there and we’ll be spinning some tracks from the album (so you can hear them again – or if you missed the band, you can hear how awesome the tracks are).

This, of course, in addition to our otherwise usual great night.

Don’t forget – for fans of industrial music, Tech Noir is in the second room.

Toxic/TN kick off at 10.30pm – £3 entry before Midnight and £5 after.   Don’t miss out.

  • Live Show : Tragedy – A Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees

    tragedylite

If you’ve a “Secret Love” for the Bee Gees, then you’ll love this gig on August 12th in Legends.
Yep, live all the “Nights on Broadway” and have a bit “Boogie Child” – we bring you TRAGEDY – The All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees.

“Don’t Forget to Remember” that you “You Should Be Dancing” to hits like “Stayin’ Alive”, “If I Can’t Have You” and “How Deep Is Your Love”.
So, quit your “Jive Talkin’” – buy a ticket (£8 advance from www.seetickets.com , www.ticketweb.co.uk and local record shops Reflex and Hot Rats) and brush away those “Lonely Days” and feel the “Night Fever”.

  • Icon of Coil : First UK Tour Begins in Newcastle!

    iocpos

Oh my. Yes…. Icon of Coil are, after all these years, doing a tour in the UK. OK, they’ve been here before – but only for festival appearances (all headline!) so it’ll be great to see them in a more intimate setting.

We’re stoked that they’re playing Newcastle as part of this tour… and… we’re the first date so the first IoC tour date will be right here :-)

I’m sure older fans of the band from their peak in the early 2000s will be very excited about this tour, but also of course many younger fans may have discovered the band via Combichrist – as the success of Combichrist has been one of the reasons why IoC have been in hiatus, he is the mind behind both projects :-)

Their career is plagued with club hits, ‘Floorkiller’, ‘Regret’, ‘Dead Enough for Life’ and ‘Access and Amplify’ amongst them – and of course, they’re working on new material and have also unleashed a new single, ‘PerfectSex’

Tickets for this are £14 advance and on sale now from www.seetickets.com www.ticketweb.co.uk and locally from Reflex and Hot Rats.

  • Cruxshadows : Return

    cxs

After a VERY successful show at Legends last year (which was their first Newcastle gig since 2006!) and an amazing and well received new album (‘As the Dark Against My Halo’ – check it out :-) ) we’re pleased to announced that The Cruxshadows will be returning this August.

What makes this a touch special is they’re only able to do 3 dates in the UK this time around, so we’re thrilled one of them is right here in Newcastle.

Taking musical combinations of synths, violins and rock guitar and adding introspective and positive lyrics, they’re a band who generate an uplifting feeling to any crowd.

They’ve a great reputation as an excellent live band, as anyone who has seen them will testify – and if you’ve not seen them, check them out this summer.

August 5th at Legends, tickets are £14 in advance and available online from www.seetickets.com and www.ticketweb.co.uk and also in person from Reflex Records and Hot Rats.

    Here’s a wee video of them :-)
